Just call me Archie! But when I am not being Archie, I do try to reach out to those I suspect have the same shyness!

Training tip:

Nah, just kidding. I have an "Archie" - who is 55 pounds. I just prepare for him to be him and am grateful for the good things he brings to my life. As for people....well, I think the key is teaching yourself to be vulnerable, understanding when you are safe, and taking risk - whether it's jumping off feet first with your eyes squeezed shut or just saying, "hello." Nice article - thank you.

I can relate to Archie! At least that’s how I feel inside sometimes. He’s with the best family.

I so love the Archie's of the world! Human! And canine! Most human Archie's I've met have eventually been friends and my closest amigos! Take time to get to know and love them...then..loves for life! Same with my pup friends. Our Ben. 13 now. Growls at kids. Bikes going by. Tractors on the road. Every day occurrences. Then will lick you to pieces when he feels safe..not on guard duty. So loyal. And, like Archie's, he's a stray who landed in our driveway. Who knows what his early years were like. Go Archie!
